CHAPTER TWO

After an hour and half passed the lecture comes to end. ‘’okay,..so don’t forget to make a group of two for this assignment. Make sure you have a group by this Wednesday. I’ll give you guys a different task after knowing each other group. So I guess this is the end of our lecture for today. Meet you guys again on Wednesday…’’ the professor said and walk out from the hall. All students start to pack their stuff. Yuri look at back to see the male student. She decide to being a friend with him. She know there is something special about him. She know this guy is actually nice. It’s her instinct. She come near the male student who busy pack his stuff. ‘’hi,..i’m Yuri..’’ she introduce herself. He ignore her and keep packing. Yuri look at him. She cant see clearly his face cover by his bangs as he look down on table to clean his books. Yuri did not give up to approach him. ‘’can we be one group for professor assignment?’’ Yuri ask. He stop from packing and take a breath . ‘’no.’’ he said shortly and zip up his bag. Yuri pout and glance at him with annoyed face. ‘’okay then,.. I would be REALLY curious who will want to be in the same group with you. Or..you end up fail on this assignment..  it’s your choice anyway..’’ Yuri walk away slowly as she hope he will call her back. As she walk slowly she feel he come towards her. ‘’ Lee Chansung..that’s my full name..’’ he said as he walk passed her and straight out from the hall that empty. Yuri just stand still and smile. ‘’ah,…chansung…’’ she smile and walk out from the hall. ‘’it’s a good beginning Yuri-ah..’’ she praised herself.

A day has passed as she really cant wait to meet her new mysterious friend. When she walk in the hall she see Chansung sitting at the same place she first see him. She take a seat beside him who reading a book. ‘’hi..i’ve give our name to professor…’’ she greet him first but as usual he keep  ignoring her. Yuri already use to it. The professor come in  after. ‘’ today class would be short as I only give you a task to do it with your group partner. Okay,..i’ll call up your group names and your task. Listen carefully..’’ he start to call out group names and task. And it’s come to Yuri’s group. ‘’Han Yuri and..oh,..you at last have a group Chansung-ah.. Han Yuri and Lee Chansung. Your task would be draw five picture of any precious thing of yours and take picture of it for approve that it is exists…’’ Professor said. ‘’uh,..what kind of picture? I mean things or, scene or..’’ Yuri ask to ensure. ‘’ anything..landscape, house, whatever..i would suggest you go to Jeju and take five scene of any place to draw and take picture. Jeju is such a nice place. A lot of artist come there to make an amazing arts…you have two months for this task anyway..’’ professor explain. She nodded. After the class end she again approach Chansung who start to pack his stuff. ‘’so,..where are going to take place to do assignment? Jeju?’’ Yuri ask. ‘’I’ll do three picture and you’ll do the other two..’’ Chansung said and stand up from his sit. Yuri who is in a startle just watch him walk pass her to the door. As she realized she is mad, Yuri call him up. ‘’ya  Chansung-ah!’’ she chase him. ‘’this is not how the group should be. We need to do this together!’’ she mad at him who stop when his name were call. Yuri come near him who stop at the door entrance. The hall is empty left only two of them. ‘’ if you keep doing like this how would you think people will respect you back? Do you think ignoring people, do your own stuff without mix with people around you, always being alone like this people will change their perspective about you? After what you did in past, don’t you ever want people to look at you at the better place? I don’t know what you did so wrong in past that make you end up like this but it’s all in past. You cant look back. Prove to everybody that you are better person than who you used to be..’’ Yuri burst. She cant longer hold. Chansung just quiet. ‘’so, you knew? About my pass? I used to be in prison? ‘’ he said in his serious tone. She nod. ‘’then why you keep cling up on me? Friend with me?’’ he ask. ‘’ because I can feel that you are actually nice. I know deep in your heart you are a good man..’’ Yuri explain calmly. Chansung look at her. This is first time he ever look at her face. Their eyes meet. His heart beats fast suddenly as he stared at Yuri’s pretty clean face. She smile as this is a first time she look at his face clearly. His eyes makes her blush. His good looking face make her smile even more. Yuri’s smile makes his messed up heart calm suddenly. ‘’Chansung,..?’’ Yuri call as they keep staring at each other for quite a while. Chansung look away as he realized the call. ‘’where do you want to do the assignment?’’ Chansung finally speak. Yuri smile brightly. At last she get to friend with him. His good look is bonus though. ‘’how about we have a drink and discus about this?’’ Yuri suggest. They both together walk out from the hall.

MONSTER CHAPTER ONE

Feb 2000.

She walks alone from school’s night final exam. She looking around as she worried anyone will follow her that walking at the quiet road. She suddenly heard a foot step following her. She walks faster as she scared and the foot step getting faster too and somebody grab her shoulder and close her mouth. She tried to scream and fight but the man is stronger than her. She dragged to the quiet dark bush. She only think it’s happening. The thing that she scared the most when get home late night is happening now. She cried badly. She can’t see clearly the face. She only sees the figure of the predators. It’s obviously man and wearing baggy jeans with all black hoods along with cap. ‘’please sir. Please don’t do anything to me. Let me go please. I swear I won’t tell anyone if you let me go. I’m just 19 years old please sir..’’ she cried begging for savior. The man doesn’t listen to her. He starts to open up his jeans make her cried louder. ‘’wont you quiet?! I’ve paid you!’’ he said drunk. ‘’no sir,.. You’re drunk and get a wrong person..’’she cried and begging again. The men cover her mouth and she cried hard as she hopes it’s just a dream.

‘’mom..mom!..’’ she walk slowly to door. Her uniform were torn and dirty. Dry blood dripping on her legs. Suin open the door as she listen to her daughter’s voice. She is so surprised looking at her daughter. ‘’Yuri-ah! What happen sweet heart?’’ she start to cried and hug her daughter. yuri cried as her mom hug her. ‘’somebody hurt me mom. He hurt me…’’ she cried. ‘’who did this? Who did this to you yuri-ah..’’ Suin hugged tight her messed up daughter. ‘’let’s make a police report..whoever did this to you need to send them to hell.. honey..! honey! Look at your daughter! help!’’ Suin scream for her husband. Young get her wife as he heard her scream and surprised to see his only daughter collapsed on his wife’s arm. Suin explain everything and he help take Yuri into the house. After she clean up she lied on her bed. Suin get into her room. ‘’Yuri-ah,..the police need to take some information from you..’’ Suin said to her daughter. the police officer start to investigate. Yuri explained everything she saw. After the officer finished Suin cover her daughter with blanket. ‘’sleep sweety.. have a rest mom and dad have to solve this thing…’’ Suin said and kiss Yuri’s forehead. Yuri tried to sleep but it’s not easy.

A week have passed Yuri received a treatment from a psychiatrist everyday to overcome her trauma. ‘’Yuri-ah,..i just received a phone call from the police station. They found the one who did that to you. He reported himself to the police and admitted it. Mom and dad need to get there to make a report towards him and send him to the jail forever. Do you want to come along?’’ Suin said to Yuri who reading a book in her room. ‘’no. how would I meet the monster who did that to me. Never. That monster..’’ she said with anger. Suin nodded. ‘’then   we go to police station for a while. Your doctor have arrived. She will accompany you okay..’’ Suin said and left the room.

Summer 2009.

It’s have been nine years since the painful memories passed. Yuri getting much better after three years received a treatment and she continued college life as normal people. Her mind who always positive make her forget the incident easily and have a normal life. She now know as happy go lucky girl and friendly. Now after nine years passed and  she turned 27 years old she decide to further study in master. ‘’are you sure? Why don’t you just work and found someone and married? It’s easier..’’ Suin help her daughter pack her bags into the car to go to Seoul for further study tomorrow. ‘’mom,..even when I’m study I can find someone  and get married right. Besides, it’s not too long. Just one and a half year.. it’s not like I’m not coming back here when sem break..’’ Yuri conceive her mother. ‘’that’s right. Let her chose her life. You’re not her…’’ Young joking. ‘’fine..fine..but take care of yourself. If anything happen just call us..’’ Suin surrender. Yuri smile and nod. ‘’auww,..my pretty daughter..’’ Suin hug her daughter. then Yuri hug her dad. ‘’ drive carefully. When you arrived don’t forget to call me. Eat healthy. I don’t want my daughter get sick..’’ Suin said before Yuri get into the car. ‘’okay mom..dad..i’m going.. goodbye..’’ Yuri drive the car away. It’s only take one and forty minutes from Busan to seoul. As she arrived at the university hostel she start to look for her room and unpack her stuff. ‘’hi,..i’m Mirae.’’ Her roommates greet as she get into the room. The room is only for two person. ‘’oh hi,..i’m Yuri..’’ Yuri bowed. ‘’where are you from? What course did you take?’’ Yuri ask as she unpack her stuff. ‘’uh,..i’m from seoul. I’m taking accountancy..you?’’ Mirae smile. ‘’I’m from Busan. I’m taking arts,..’’Yuri answer and they start to chatting.

Today were her first class but she kind of late. She knock the door before come in.’’come in..’’the voice from inside were heard. She open the door. ‘’ sorry sir I’m late..’’ she apologized to the old man lecturer. ‘’it’s okay. What’s your name?’’ the professor ask as he look into the registration book. ‘’uh,..i’m  Yuri . Han Yuri..’’ Yuri answer. ‘’owh,..so, you’re the one who got the scholarship..you are the intern student that professor Heo suggest right?’’ the professor ask. ‘’yes I am..’’ Yuri answer with a smile. ‘’I’ve heard a lot about you from professor Heo. You’re just not genius but pretty.. I’ve seen some of your art and it’s amazing. Please sit..’’ the professor said. She bow and walk through the students to find empty chair. There three empty chair where two and she chose the empty chair beside a male student so that she can ask him anything she doesn’t know as she get in the class  so late as the course have proceed three months already. This all because she have been offered by her lecturer in her old university in Busan to move to Seoul university as it is famous in Art course. When the professor explaining infront she tried to look at the male student beside her as she wonder what is the previous note. ‘’sorry,..can I borrow your previous note?’’ she as in whisper enough for him to heard. But the male student ignore her. Yuri get a little mad. When the break time she again ask for te note but he just ignore her and walk away. ‘’auwwh.. what kind of classmate is that?’’ she murmured. ‘’hi!,..you being ignore by him? Just let him be. He’s kind of weird freak. Never talk  to us. Like forever alone..’’  a girl emerge Yuri. ‘’really? Why?’’ Yuri ask. ‘’we heard he used to be in prison.. eventhough he is kind of wealthy but from prison..who dare to close to him?’’ she explain. ‘’but you never know..’’ Yuri said. Professor come in the hall again to continue. Before he start to speak the male student who sit beside her before enter the hall. This time he sit to another empty at the back. Yuri start to curious and  a little pity towards him. The lecture start.
